RUBBER Stamp Stamp Promotions, from Lochgelly, have booked six local bands to play a gig at the Windsor Hotel, Kirkcaldy, tonight (Friday 28th March).

This is a pay on the door gig and entry costs £5, with the doors opening at 7:30pm.

WolfMonkey have quickly built up their fan base via YouTube and performed their first gig to a sell out crowd in Wee Jimmies, Cowdenbeath, only three weeks after forming when they supported Chris Helme ex-The Seahorses.

They played that gig as a 2 piece (Shaun Sneddon & Lee Hynd), but have since added three additional members. WolfMonkey have a diverse ranging sound featuring, country, rap, rock, indie & folk. They have also supported Catfish And The Bottlemen & The Complete Stone Roses.

The Mona Lisa’s are a traditional 5 piece band playing pretty rock n roll. Born in April 2013 the band consists of Arron ‘Finch’ Graham on bass, Cameron Gaudin Junior on drums, Ally Galloway and Blair Dow on guitars, with Kevin Murphy Junior belting out the vocals.

Playing all original music, the band have varied tunes from pretty anthems to some dirty foot stompers. The band have supported a few big names in the short time they have been gigging, supporting bands such as Drenge, Vigo Thieves, The Merrylees and Modern Faces. Their debut demo ‘Wasted Time’ also got a play on Jim Gellatly’s Amazing Radio.

Forbes is a 19 year old singer songwriter armed with his guitar, harmonica and tunes that everyone should hear, offering something different to the table. His influences cover 60 years of rock n roll, from Elvis, Hank Williams and Buddy Holly, through The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Donovan, The Stone Roses and Oasis, up to present day artistes Arctic Monkeys, The View and Jake Bugg.

While his songwriting style picks up the heartfelt storytelling of Neil Young and the observational honesty of Morrissey. The talented teenager is backed by Martin Inches on drums and Jordan McHatton on bass.

The Blind Lights are a young band from Kirkcaldy that are looking to try and make an impact on the live music scene. The bands line up consists of drummer Rob McInnes, bass player Ben Neighbours and front man of vocals and lead guitar David Stevens. They have a big vocal, big guitar solos, bass lines and drums. The Blind Lights try their best in making every gig as good as possible, make people want to go mad and come back for more! Vertebrae are a loud new indie rock band with a sharp edge of alternative music. Formed at the beginning of 2013. Their attitude can be described as rock on stage, librarian off stage! The Manifest are a 7 piece band. 2 guitars, drums, bass, synth and 2 members on vocals. Arran and Jack were previously in Bang Bang Betty. Jamie, Gordon and Lewis were in As Dawn Appeared. The band formed just before Christmas 2013 and they are influenced by bands such as, Enter Shikari, Asking Alexandria, A Day To Remember, The Algorithm and Architects.
