COWDENBEATH will be aiming to build on their eight point advantage at the top of the Barrs Irn Bru Second Division when they go to Forfar this Saturday.

Last weekend's win over Airdrie, added to second top Arbroath drawing with East Fife, has seen the healthy Blue Brazil position take shape but player/boss Colin Cameron wants his men to realise that there is still a long way to go to achieve their ambition of winning the title.

He told Times Sport, "We created an awful lot of good chances against Airdrie but scored only twice which was a little disappointing.

"The important thing was that we collected another home win and our fourth successive home league clean sheet.

"We could and should have scored more but winning the game was the aim and we achieved that.

"However, we have barely passed the half way stage of the fixtures so there is a long way to go and we have to fully focus on each game as it comes up.

"This Saturday we play Forfar, who had a good away win at Stenhousemuir last weekend, and that will have given them a big lift.

"We known that there are no easy games in this division so we will have to put on another top show to win at Station Park."

Striker Lewis Coult was delighted to get a full 90 minutes against Airdrie.

He told our reporter, "It was great to get a start and while I am a bit greedy when it comes to goals I was happy to be able to be a supplier of openings in this game.

"The important aspect of Saturday was us winning and we know that to get back to the First Division we will have to keep on winning games like that Airdrie fixture."

The manager was pleased with the contribution his new signings made on Saturday.

He fixed up Liam Cusack ,from Clyde, and Derek Lyle, from Hamilton, to strengthen the squad after loan duo Kal Naismith and Jordan Morton left at the beginning of the month.

Cusack can play either wide or up front while Lyle is an experienced striker and he sees them as being important cogs in the promotion wheel.

Cusack started the match against Airdrie and Lyle was a second-half substitute and both showed enough to suggest they will help the cause greatly.

Added the manager, "Derek is an experienced front man while Liam is a trick player who can give us good width and once they are both fully match fit they will be very useful acquisitions."

Striker Greg Stewart missed the weekend outing with an ankle problem and may still be out for the Loons clash.

Kenny Adamson was substituted after feeling his hamstring tighten in the first-half of the Airdrie game but he should be fit for Station Park whiloe Scott Linton came on on Saturday despite missing training all week with tonsilitis.

Look for very few changes in the starting line-up for the game with Lochgellym man Dick Campbell's side.
