COWDENBEATH play on Sunday this week as they bid to build on their great result at Forthbank last Saturday.
Queen of the South are the visitors to Central Park and Cowden will beconfident of posing problems for the Doonhamers.
But the Fifers may face one or two injury problems for this weekend to add to the injuries they already have.
Against Stirling Albion the Blue Brazil lost Mark Baxter through a hamstring injury at the break and Colin Cameron picked up a similar problem late in the game but had to stay on the pitch as Cowden had used all their substitutes.
Manager Jimmy Nicholl was delighted with his team at the weekend. He said, "I was really disappointed to be a goal down at half-time because we had played so well.
"But in the second period we kept playing the same brand of football and when Lee Sibanda mananged to get his header past the 'keeper we were right back in the game. We continued to put them under pressure and the other goals followed to give the lads the result they deserved."
The manager was particularly pleased to see John Dempster get his goal, Cowden's third.
The manager added, "Big John has been playing so well without any luck in front of goal but he grabbed the goal which gave us a vital cushion on Saturday and it will give his confidence a big boost. I was pleased for Dean Brett also. He is such a really bouncy young lad and he works so hard and he took his goal brilliantly.
"It was just such a good feeling to get our first three points on the board."
The manager hopes that the extra day, caused by a major stock car meeting on Saturday, will allow one or two of his injured players to make it against Queens.
He added, "Mark Baxter's injury could be a problem but he will be under treatment this week and hopefully he will have a chance of playing. Colin had to stay on at Forthbank despite feeling his hammy and hopefully he will make it as well but the game will come too quickly for Joe Mbu, Dene Droudge and Jon Robertson.
"They are all making progress but are a few weeks away from being ready for the first team."
The manager, who hopes to add a player to the squad this week, intends to use his Saturday without a game to watch the next two opponents after Queen's, Partick Thistle and Morton who meet at the weekend.
