Manager Lennon will offer East Fife assistance to get game on.

THE big freeze continues to frustrate Cowdenbeath players and backroom team as the Fifers missed action for a third successive week on Saturday.

The re-scheduled game with Arbroath was yet another victim of the snow and frost despite being moved from 19th December when the game was originally postponed.

Now the Blue Brazil are hoping that this weekend's derby game with East Fife at New Bayview will go ahead.

However, the Methil pitch has suffered as well from the awful conditions but with temperatures rising at the beginning of the week hopes were high.

It could be that Cowden are out of action yet again this weekend, but then every team in the Barrs Irn Bru Second Division are in the same boat.

Manager Danny Lennon said, "Everyone is left wondering when we will get a game as the freeze shows signs of lifting.

"We are hoping that New Bayview will be playable and I will be telephoning East Fife boss Stevie Crawford to offer any help we can to get the pitch playable."

Indeed, such has been the inactivity when the division gets back in action it will be like a new season.
