Cowdenbeath have the chance to further strengthen their position in the top two of the Barrs Irn Bru Second Division when they entertain strugglers Arbroath at Central Park this Saturday.
The Lichties are in second bottom spot but have a new manager at the helm in Jim Weir the ex-Montrose boss.
Cowdenbeath manager Danny Lennon would be happy to see a similar performance this weekend to that shown at Peterhead.
He said, "We played really well in phases and were strong all over the pitch and it was great to get another shut-out.
"We defended very well throughout the game and gave very little away. If we can keep up the standard of the likes of this match we can stay in the mix at the top end of the table but in reality at this stage of the season it is all about accumulating points.
"It was great to see the travelling fans at Peterhead and the players enjoyed their backing. If we could win these two homes games coming up it would give the supporters a real Christmas treat."
Arbroath won at Central Park on the first day of the season but Cowden finished that game with nine men, and that had a big influence on the result.
Since then they have struggled and are 15 points adrift of the Fifers who are still ahead of Stirling Albion at the top of the table on goal difference.
But Jim Weir has already managed to get a couple of decent results and performances out of his side so it should be an entertaining game on Saturday.
Manager Lennon is expecting a tough game and said, "Arbroath have given us two good games already this season but it is important that we win this one to keep the pressure on at the top of the table.
"If we can play the same type of football we did at Peterhead then we should have the firepower to win the game."
The Blue Brazil endured a couple of injury worries at Peterhead with defenders Dene Droudge and John Armstrong picking up knocks. Armstrong suffered a strain and Droudge a foot injury but bothy should be fir for this weekend.
Striker Gareth Wardlaw is recovering well from his hip problem sustained at Alloa and should be available for this weekend and Paul McQuade is also fit.
