AFTER their narrow defeat at Stirling Cowdenbeath head for Annan tomorrow and must get something from the fixture.

Nine points adrift at the foot of the Ladbrokes League 2 table, the Blue Brazil really must start winning soon to close the gap on Clyde and Edinburgh City.

A point not lost on Cowden boss Gary Bollan who said: "We deserved something from the Stirling game.

"It was a much better performance than against Berwick and we had Stirling on the back foot for much of the second-half.

"The thing is that the goal we lost and decided the game was another ball launched into our box from a set piece and it kind of sums up the way things have been going.

"However, on the plus side I felt that the players were excellent in the second period, but it feels like we are not getting any breaks at the moment."

The manager is unlikely to make any changes in the team for the visit to Annan, which has never been a happy hunting ground for Cowdenbeath.
