Cowdenbeath 20s 1, Raith Rovers 20s 8.

DESPITE opening the scoring the Cowdenbeath under 20 side went down to another heavy defeat at New Central Park on Wednesday night.

With only two minutes gone a mix up in the visiting defence saw the ball fall to Jack WHITTAKER and with keeper Brian, off his line expecting a pass back, he chipped the ball over him from 25 yards.

Soon after, the Blue Brazil almost doubled the advantage when a low 25 yard drive from Cammy Muirhead crashed off the post.

Rovers, however, drew level with 19 minutes gone when Osei sent the ball into the path of Kyle BELL who hit a low shot into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Osei was once again the provider for Rovers' second goal laying the ball on for Jonny COURT to fire home from six yards after 28 minutes.

Seven minutes from the break David McKAY fired home a 25 yard dive and two minutes into the second -half COURT got on the end of a Berry cross to head home from close range.

With 52 minutes gone Rovers went further ahead when Valentine went on a run and sent the ball over for Ryan STEVENSON to shoot home.

Three goals in the closing 14 minutes then made the Kirkcaldy side's win more emphatic with STEVENSON firing home from inside the box after being set up by Osei.

Kieran DALL then hit a brace, firstly he shot home from inside the box with ten minutes to go then three minutes later he chipped Blair Penman from the corner of the box.

Cowden had then had a late chance of pulling a goal back after Ryan Connelly went on a run from the halfway line but his 25 yard shot was turned over the bar by 'keeper Peden.
