Cowdenbeath 20s 3, Livingston 20s 2.

A LATE comeback saw the Cowdenbeath youngsters gain their first win of the season at New Central Park, Kelty, on Wednesday night, writes Andy Mullen.

Both sides had the chance to break the deadlock in a goalless first-half with both 'keepers in good form, while a Ryan Connelly shot was cleared off the line by defender Jason Gregory.

It was the visitors’ who made the breakthrough four minutes after the re-start when a shot from Henderson saw a shot come off the post and Levi KINCHANT followed up to slot home via the upright.

Cowden got back on level terms with 68 minutes gone when Connelly saw his shot blocked but Jordan GARDEN followed up to net the rebound.

Three minutes later the visitors restored their lead when Craig HENDERSON fired home a 25 yard shot.

With 12 minutes to go Cowden got back on level terms when Charlie DENTON got on the end of a low cross from Cowan to slot home from eight yards.

Then with a minute to go CONNELLY latched onto a long clearance from Blair Penman and shrugged off two defenders before slotting the ball past keeper Maley.

Deep into stoppage time Cowan almost added a fourth goal when he was put through by Garden but his chip came off the crossbar.
