COWDENBEATH will host Premiership Dundee in the Betfred Cup while the new strip will be launched at the gala day on Saturday.

The Blue Brazil have been drawn in Group C in the first stage of the tournament, where they will also play Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Buckie Thistle.

Gary Locke’s men will open at home to Buckie on Saturday July 15 before travelling to Tannadice to face United on Sunday July 23.

Cowden then host Dundee on Wednesday July 26 before finishing up with a trip to the Rovers, the club who sacked Locke in February, on July 29.

Meanwhile club officials have secured a new kit deal with German manufacturer Uhlsport and their Scottish based supplier FN Teamwear, and Cowden’s snazzy new home number will be on sale at the town’s gala day on Saturday.

It marks the fifth year that Uhlsport have produced the Blue Brazil’s strips, and the seventh year that FN Teamwear – the kit supply arm of football retailers Football Nation – have supplied match and training requirements.

In addition to the new kit deal, the club have also confirmed that Subsea Pressure Controls will continue to sponsor the front of the club’s shirts, while Delta 70 Mfg. Ltd, based in Ontario, Canada, will adorn the back.

Director David Allan commented: “This is the seventh consecutive season that Subsea have supported us in this way and Cowdenbeath FC remain immensely grateful to Neil and Subsea for their ongoing support.

“Our primary back of shirt sponsors for the season ahead will be brand new sponsors – Delta 70 Mfg. Ltd, all the way from Ontario in Canada.

"Delta’s owner, Jim Gray, is a Cowdenbeath FC shareholder and Jim was last at Central Park for that very late kick off v Elgin City!

"We look forward to welcoming Jim back to Central Park soon. Delta, and Jim’s, generous assistance is most greatly appreciated by everyone at Cowdenbeath FC.”

In addition to the strip launch, season tickets are also on sale and prices are unchanged from last season, with supporters able to take advantage of ‘early bird’ purchases of briefs until the end of the month.

Season books, which will cover 18 scheduled league matches at Central Park, are on sale from the club office will soon be available online via the club’s partners at Football Nation.
