COWDENBEATH seem certain to head for Berwick tomorrow under the guidance of player/coach Burton O'Brien.

Since the resignation of Liam Fox as manager on Monday Burton has been taking training and is poised to select the team for the very important match at Berwick against the local Rangers.

The club has been looking at several avenues to bring in a new person to take over as boss.

Former manager Mixu Paatelainen has been in touch but say he would have loved to have had a second spell at Central Park but he has a new job with UEFA which means that he is away for large parts of some weeks.

Meanwhile former player/boss Colin Cameron's name has sprung up in connection with the job but as yet there has been no appointment.

Burton O'Brien will have midfielder Fraser Mullen available again for the match after his suspension last Saturday and winger Matt Rooney may also make it after a leg knock has recovered.

After Saturday's gamne Cowden are in action at Central Park on Tuesday when Elgin City come to play the match that was controversially called off two weeks ago when the pitch was adjudged by the referee to be waterlogged when by kick-off time it had recovered.
