THE efforts to raise money to augment gate cash is always at the forefront of the Cowdenbeath directors' minds and the Christmas raffle proved a big success.

Fans and friends of the club sold thousands of tickets which raised a goodly sum.

Zoe Smith, who herself raised £5000 in the autumn, was asked to make the draw before the Forfar game at the club’s Festive Friends Christmas lunch where 16 of our long-standing supporters were treated to a Christmas meal.

Finance director David Allan said: "Fundraiser extraordinaire Zoe did the honours and made the draw. A big thanks to all those who bought tickets". The prize winners were as follows: 1st Prize (£350 cash) – ‘Murby’, Newmills; 2nd Prize (TV) – Kyle Stark, South Queensferry; 3rd Prize (Hamper) – Lindsay family, Currie; 4th Prize (6 bottles of wine) – Amanda Cowan, Kirkcaldy; 5th Prize (bottle of Old Pulteney whisky) – A & J Stores, Dunfermline;

6th Prize (MP3 player) – G Menzies, Cowdenbeath 7th Prize (bottle of Glenmorangie) – Francis Gillaley, Fighting Scot Gym; 8th Prize (bottle of Glenfiddich) – Angela Rooney; 9th Prize (bottle of Vodka)- Evelyn Swinley; 10th Prize (3 bottles of wine) – David Allan, Dunfermline; 11th Prize (2 bottles of wine) – Gary Murray, Coatbridge.
