COWDENBEATH goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon will spend this week training with Hibernian at Easter Road.

Although he has now started a first team game this season, the youngster's appearances last season in Ladbrokes League One alerted club's of his qualities.

With experienced last line Dave McGurn signing up in the summer for the Blues Jamie has been consigned to the bench this season so far.

However, a number of clubs are believed to be have expressed an interested in the young Blue Brazil starlet.

Championship side Hibs have been linked with a move for the Cowdenbeath 'keeper for some time and this week's developments suggest that they make make a serious move for the young goalkeeper soon if they like what they see.

The 19-year-old has impressed for the Blue Brazil since breaking in to the first team last season, playing 20 times for the Fife club, before picking up an injury. He has failed to make an appearance this season, however.

Sneddon is out-of-contract on December 31, and that has alerted the Hibees, as well as a number of other clubs, including Livingston, St Johnstone and Partick Thistle.

There is also said to be interest in the player from a few clubs in England.

Hibs have apparently already told Cowdenbeath they intend on speaking to Sneddon ahead of a January 1st transfer swoop.

With McGurn also captain of Cowdenbeath clearly Sneddon would have to wait for an injury to the first team 'keeper or a sending off to get a first team chance.

So it could be that when his contract runs out he may be on the move.
