Jack's great athletics year
2011 has been a very good year for Beath High School athlete Jack Lawrie with success at home and abroad.
The S5 pupil had an outstanding Fife Schools Track and Field Championships winning gold in the 100 and 400 hurdles and also helping the Beath relay team to a silver. In addition he won the FSAA Trophy for his '100' win.
His performance saw him compete at the Scottish Schools Championships, at Grangemouth, where he won bronze in both events and this saw him selected for the Scottish Schools team to take part in the Celtic Games held in Northern Ireland. There he won silver in the 100m hurdles.
