LOCHGELLY teenager Paul Hindley took another major step in his developing football career when he signed for Celtic last week.

Paul (15), from Paxton Crescent, will play for the Celts' under 15 squad during an 18 month contract.

The Lochgelly High School pupil is a former LKB United starlet and has been tracked by Celtic's scouting staff for some time.

He was invited to train at the club's Lennoxtown training headquarters in January and made quite an impact with the offer of signing terms coming a few weeks later.

Just before Christmas the attacking midfielder was chosen for the Scotland Development Squad as his undoubted talent was noticed by the national youth coaching team.

He is the latest LKB United player to join a senior club. Previously the Violet Park club has seen players join up at Raith Rovers and Dunfermline.
