BLUE Brazil Boys Club 1992s are through to the semi-finals of the Scottish Under 19 Cup as they continue their unbeaten run this season.

The 92s literally have been unbeatable this term in league, Scottish and local cup action with over 20 games played and they are now looking forward to their chance of national silverware.

The awful weather conditions which have prevailed since the start of December have limited the number of games the BBBC have played since the turn of the year and they still do not know who they will play in the semis as two of the other quarter-finals have yet to be resolved.

The side had a thrilling quarter-final tie against former winners Bonnyton from Kilmarnock and had to be at their best to win the tie 3-2.

That game was played at Lochore Welfare's Central Park ground in Crosshill and that could well be the venue for the semi-final.

Said coach Paul Murray, "We were delighted that Lochore gave us their ground for the quarter-final and we hope that they will be kind enough to give us the chance of housing the semi there.

"It is great for the lads to play on a junior ground and Welfare have been very helpful in the past."

The club is also on the look-out for a new sponsor for the run-in to the season that they hope will include a Scottish Cup final.

Added Paul, "It has been a difficult time for sponsorship through the effects of the recession but we would like to have more sponsors on board as we gear up for the big semi-final tie.

"The team's performances have been worthy of backing and it would be great to have people on board before the semi."

The tie is likely to be played either at the end of March or beginning of April depending on the weather.
