Cowdenbeath will open their season on Saturday 25th July against old rivals Raith Rovers in the Petrofac Training Challenge Cup.
The draw on Monday gave the Blue Brazil a home tie against the Championship side under new manager Ray McKinnon.
“This is a tournament we want to do well in and this will be a good test for us at this stage of our preparations,” said manager Cowden boss Colin Nish added, "and it will have the added derby flavour"!
