THE first ever Cowdenbeath Fife Darts Super League derby took place at Partners Bar and it turned out to be a thriller.

The B team won the opening set with Jimmy Gay (26.45) beating Stewart Rattray (24) 3-1, with the night’s highest average, The A team game surging back winning the next three sets through Ian Cochrane (24.64) 3-0 over Alex McKay; Bobby Campbell (21.97) 3-2 over Pete Naughton; and Stevie Mitchell (23.85) 3-2, over Colin Feeley.

The B team, not to be out done, won the next three sets. Gordon Donnelly (23.30) won 3-2 over Kev Feeley; Colin Hepplewhite (21.42) overcame Liam Mitchell 3-1; and Colin Miller (23.12) won 3-0 over Paul Scott, which set up a last set decider, which Paddy Reilly (20.59) won for the B Team giving them a 5-3 victory after his 3-0 win over James Small.

This maintains the B team’s unbeaten record and cements their top of the league position, at the half-way stage. Due to a date change for this game other results are not available.
