S1/S2 pupils represented Lochgelly High School at the Fife regional Giant Heptathlon Festival and did excellently.
Pupils were selected by the PE department for showing consistently high standards of effort, behaviour and participation.
Schools from all over Fife took part in coaching sessions and then competed in athletics events including: throwing, jumping, sprinting, endurance and hurdles.
In addition, two Senior Sports Leaders also played a crucial role in the smooth running of the day ensuring events were organised and scored accurately. The pupils gave each event their full effort and competed well against teams made up of mainly older pupils.
Those involved were, Cameron Young, Ben Nardone, Cian Kinnell, Logan Clunie, Kieran Black, Jack Mathieson, Reagan Crowe, Anna Rankine, Riona Stein, Charlie Blair, Adele Jarrett, Insiyah Gull, Carly O’ Hagan and Leah Imrie while senior helpers were Nicole Burns and Chloe Brown.
