COWDENBEATH go into tonight's key Ladbrokes League 2 game with Edinburgh City without talented teenage forward Ryan Connelly.

The Beath High School pupil twisted his knee in training on Thursday and could be out for a few weeks.

However, marksman Robbie Buchanan is fit again and is in the squad for the game at Ainslie Park which has a 7.45pm start.

With City winning on Saturday to stretch their lead over the Blues to 15 points Cowden simply have to win this one, even though they have a game in hand.

Manager Gary Bollan is aware of the task: "It is very important that we start winning to get a run going that can put pressure on City.

"However, it will only be achieved if we manage the game properly and do not give away any silly goals.

"That is absolutely a key situation, as is tucking away the chances which will come our way.

"However, we have, apart from Ryan, a full squad available and we have to maximise that by collecting three points."

Skipper Scott Rumsby is also available after completing his suspension.
