THERE was success for Lochgelly Bowling Club on Sunday.

At Methilhill Bowling Club, young Cian Kinnell represented Lochgelly at the Fife Youth Finals.

This was Cian’s first ever final at this level and he showed his bowling talents and held it together to come away with a 20-19 victory over Euan Comrie, from Markinch, in a tightly contested game.

Cian jumped out to a 10-4 lead only to have Euan fight back to 10-9. Cian then pulled away and sat 20-10 only to see Euan claw his way back to 20-19.

In the last end, Cian was able to draw two shots close to jack. This forced Euan to try and remove the two bowls which he just narrowly missed to give Cian the title.

Cian has worked hard this year and got the reward he deserved.

Alans Bowers and Alan Scott have worked to educate and show Cian what it takes to win at this level.

Big congratulations went from all Lochgelly members went to Cian on his success.
