On Saturday Lumphinnans bowlers travelled to Leslie for their first friendly game played between the clubs.
There was an air of trepidation with the threat of a thunderstorm in the air but the storms did not come and with good banter across the green it was a very tight match indeed.
The hosts slipped home 75-59 but a number of ends could have swung Lumphinnans' way.
Past president Jim Cowan thanked the Leslie club for their hospitality and said that already the Lumphinnans members are looking forward to welcoming them to the village green next year.
Sweep winners for Lumphinnans were Jim Cowan's triple and a bnig thank-you went to all who took part.
