A LARGE group of S2 girls at Beath High recently took part in the Fife S2 Netball Tournament at the Michael Woods Sport Centre.

All three teams worked extremely hard and played to a good standard. They all went into the Plate Tournament in the afternoon where Beath B and C played against each other for their placing.

Beath A played particularly well in this tournament. They had a close game in the semis against Kirkcaldy A where they won 3-2 which allowed them to go forward to the final. There they played against St. Andrews where they won 8-3 and were awarded medals for winning the Plate section of the tournament. The girls had a very positive experience playing against a number of high level teams. They are great representatives of Beath.

Also, the S3 Netballers recently took part in the S3 Fife Netball Tournament at the Michael Woods Sport Centre.

The team played to a good standard winning 2 of their games against Waid and St.Andrews HS, but sadly lost against Balwearie and Woodmill HS. They were second in their group but just missed out in the Cup Tournament due to goal difference. The girls therefore went forward into the Plate Competition where they reached the final against Glenwood. It was a very close and tense game, however, sadly they were beaten 5-4.
