DUNDONALD Bluebell moved within one win of promotion to the East Super League by thrashing Oakley United at Blairwood Park last night.

By their success Dundonald now only need to beat Dundee Violet this weekend to achieve their goal of promotion from the Premier League.

Oakley were under pressure from the outset and goals flowed.

Scott Lawrie grabbed a hat-trick and there were other goals from Calum Young, Derek Wallace and Greg Meikle.

So the nightmare defeat at home to Arniston on Saturday has been consigned to the history books.

Meanwhile Kelty Hearts failed in their bid to make the Conservatory Converters Fife and Lothians Cup.

Prior to the tie Hearts were favourites to win a place in the final but the goals just would not flow for them and the visitors held on after grabbing the lead to win the tie.
