A COLD wet Tuesday night in Kirkcaldy was the setting for the last rugby game for Beath High School's current S6 pupils.
A make shift u18s team with players from Beath HS, Dunfermline HS and Woodmill HS, who had never met before, fought bravely against an organised and well drilled Kirkcaldy Colts team.
After a first-half dominated by Kirkcaldy, the Beath/DHS/WHS boys started to click and were camped in Kirkcaldy's 22 for the majority of the second-half.
It was only a few handling errors in the wet conditions that stopped Beath scoring. Kirkcaldy capitalised on these errors and scored four well worked break away tries.
Despite the result it was a great farewell match for the S6 leavers who all put in brilliant performances and did the school proud. Their coaches wished the lads all the best lads, enjoy life after school.
