SERIES One of the sixth annual 7s Football League organised by Disability Sport Fife for players with additional support needs was held at Kirkcaldy High School and the younger of Lochgelly High's teams were in great form.

The League is supported by the Scottish FA and Series One involved 53 players from Balwearie HS, Bell Baxter HS, Madras College, Lochgelly HS and Woodmill HS.

Reigning S3 – S6 Champions, Balwearie HS, completed Series 1 undefeated with team captain Stuart Taylor scoring 11 goals.

Lochgelly HS and Woodmill HS finished with 6 points apiece, three points behind Balwearie HS.

The combined Madras College/Bell Baxter HS team finished on three points.

Lochgelly HS was the in form team in the S1-S2 competition and Shakeel Ul-Haq finished Series One as top scorer with five goals.

Reigning Champions Balwearie HS finished two behind the leaders with 4 points.

Rosalind Penman, from Balwearie HS, completed her day with a total of 3 goals. Nathan Lee was top scorer, from Madras College, with two goals, helping his team to a total of two points and third spot in the junior competition.

Series 2 and Series 3 will be held at the same venue in February and March with the top two senior teams qualifying to represent Fife at the Scottish Championships at Ravenscraig in Lanarkshire.

The finals are organised by Scottish Disability Sport and the Scottish FA.
