COWDENBEATH face a very important game tonight as they bid to get back into the race for a promotion play-off spot in Ladbrokes League One.
A run of three straight league defeats has hindered the good work done before Christmas but the arithmetic shows that a win tonight at Central Park against Albion Rovers, and three points from Brechin City on Saturday, could push them into the top half of the table.
Manager Colin Nish is very aware of the problems his team has had in recent weeks: "Losing Gordon Smith and Andy Murdoch has meant that we have had to bring in new people and it inevitably will take time for things to settle.
"I felt at Airdrie on Saturday we had a lot of possession but just did not create enough in the last third of the pitch.
"We have to look to win all our home games if we can and the game against Albion Rovers is in that category.
"If we can be more dangerous about the opposition box we can get the result we are seeking."
Liam Callaghan is still a doubt following his injury sustained against Stranraer so it is likely that the side which started at Airdrie will get the chance to get the Cowden show back on the road.
