I WAS out taking my dog Jasper for a walk this morning 03/08/2015 using my mobility scooter.

One of the walks I do is the new path between Lochgelly and Dundonald which is a very nice walk. On occasions I have found the remnants of horse faeces across the path which is not so bad to go over with my scooter, but I am usually glad that I hadn`t come along when it was fresh as I would have to turn back.

This morning I thought I`d go along the path then back via the Loch, but I only got a few meters along the path when I came to a pile of horse faeces Until today the horse faeces had usually been weathered away but not today, as can be seen from my attached photo, though it could have been worse because it looks as if the weather has been working to disperse it though not enough for me to get passed it without getting my tyres covered in faeces.

As I have said I take my dog with me and I always pick up his faeces. I spoke to a horse rider I know some time ago and mentioned about the horse faeces on the Lochgelly and Dundonald path and on some other paths, I was told the problem horse riders can have is that once they get on their horse at the at the stables they can`t always get back on if they have to get off while they are out and about.

So if their horse does it`s business the rider might not be able to get back on if they get off to pick up it`s droppings.

Well!!!! I am sorry, but I don`t think that is much of an excuse. If the rider has to use some sort of apparatus to get on the horse in the first place should they not have some sort of portable version with them just in case something happens while they are out.

If I was out with my dog and he did a poo and I didn`t have any bags I sure as hell won`t get away with not picking it up.
