Re your article of 2nd July on the proposed Hilton Wind Farm. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Brazenly the head consultant stated, “Lochore Meadows Country Park would benefit from £70,000 per year from the project, and it would benefit local funds”.
Surely this is ‘bribing’ and also suggesting this in advance of the turbines application being passed, could ‘they’ be committing a crime!
To do so like this in ‘advance’ of any project is not right. Also suggesting people owning ‘shares’ is playing on greed in profit.
At one time, any suggestion of bribery in any sense would see ‘defaulted’ planning in full.
It is like taking a ‘back-hander’. What the hell is going on? How is all this being allowed?
Fife Council should have some say in stopping this blatant style of currying favour of all sorts.
How many are in these people’s pockets? Remember these people are like the Government, they may always fall short on ‘false promises’.
So do not be misled. We need all the right protests, or even better ‘picket’ areas, to show we won’t stand for friends taking over our land, our health, our privileges of freedom.
P JOHNSTONE, Kelty.
