I AM trying to contact Stephen McLeod, from Cowdenbeath, who I believe was featured in an article in your newspaper last year.
The article was about the fallen soldiers discovered in 2010 at the site of The Battle of Loos.
Mr McLeod attended the ceremonial burial there last year. Private William McAleer, who was Mr McLeod’s Step Great Uncle, was the only one who was identified.
I am researching the same battle as my grandfather was there (one of the few who survived) and I have some things I would very much like to discuss with Mr McLeod.

I am hoping to go to Loos on 25th September this year to repay a 100 year-old debt!
