IT is quite something for over £1m to be spent on a special cycle track near Lochgelly.
With the developments at Lochore Meadows Country Park, things are clearly happening on the cycling front in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.
I noticed local councillor Mark Hood made the point that such a facility could bring lots of people into the area and I have to say it is an exciting time for Lochgelly.
With the RockGelly project also set to be a centre of rock climbing excellence, it means that Lochgelly could be visited by a lot of people using these top sporting facilities.
So the people or person who nominated Lochgelly for the Plook of the Plinth Award should be named and shamed.
There is a lot happening in the town and surrounding area which is very positive and indeed facilities that few communities will be able to boast.
Make no mistake things are happening and hopefully this will continue all the way through 2015.
CYCLIST, Lochgelly.
