THERE is no hiding from the fact that Fife Council face some tough decisions on putting together their budget for 2014-15.

Needing to find millions of pounds of savings quickly is putting pressure on the coalition administration led by Labour and there is no doubt that some of their decisions will cause concern to people.

But then the local authority is asking people to get in touch with them and lodge their thoughts on where savings can be made and where funding is needed.

There are various get-togethers taking place in the Cowden-Gelly area to test feelings and there are ways of communicating thoughts online so people can have no excuse for not putting strongly held beliefs on record.

No matter what happens there are going to be people unhappy with what is proposed but at least if you have made your point then it could make a difference.

No point complaining after the event if the opportunity is there to get your thoughts across.
