IT is now getting to a stage where this community feels like no matter what we say RWE are doing whatever they like.

Despite all the complaints regarding the Jamphlars site over the last two years, and the last six months in particular, there has been NO effort on their part to even attempt to meet with the community or try to resolve any issues.

They tell the council agencies they are doing this and doing that but all the while they seem to arranging to do other things in the background and it seems like they are deliberately antagonising this community. Given the complaints with this “retrospective” planning they are allegedly applying for can they not come to us? Should the alarm bells not be ringing in the council’s ears? After all it was the community who told them RWE were breaching planning only to be told they weren’t and now we have been proved right! Who is the most moral here I ask? And whose community is it?

I am afraid it is time to stand up and be counted, councillors, we need your support more than ever and RWE cannot be allowed to have any more private meetings a without the community represented. I am requesting you call a public meeting as soon as possible and all requests for any further development on this site be put on hold given the absolutely disregard for this community and it’s health.

The owners of the site at the Jamphlars have said that they are working to ensure that the dust problem the residents have complained about is contained and every effort will be made to keep people informed of developments. The Ed.
