PEOPLE should rally around the appeal by Benarty Events Group for support.

This group is a small but very active bunch of people who have the community spirt of the four villages much much in their minds.

There has always been a bit of rivalry between the communities of Ballingry, Lochore, Crosshill and Glencraig, on the sporting and other fields but under the Benarty banner there are many good things happening. Last summer was a shining example with the first ever Benarty Pipe Band competition being a big success.

But to maintain the momentum funds have to be raised and this can only be achieved by people working together.

The Events group has several fundraisers coming up and if the public get involved then they will raise the cash to ensure that all the good things enjoyed last year in Benarty can happen again with more things in the pipeline.

And the Events Group is always looking for more volunteers to help out with the many tasks that there are to make sure that the community spirit of Benarty is kept at a high level. Support this good cause, it will be well worth it.
