THE proposed change in the drink/drive limit to 50 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood is certain to pose those who like to have a drink plenty of questions.

Probably the ‘next day’ aspect will be the one which provides most posers for drivers in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.

How much you can consume the night before you are driving to ensure you are below the ‘50’ measure will be difficult to assess initially although no doubt there will be plenty of advice available.

The whole idea behind the move is to make the roads safer and discourage people from drink/driving but the Insitute of Advanced Drivers is of the opinion that the people who cause most fatal accidents are often three or four times over the limit and this move is unlikely to deter that sort of person.

However, if our Jury is anything to go by there is support out there for the new proposal and if it saves one life then it has been a success.
