THANKS to Jim Sillars for revealing that on a ‘Yes’ vote, there will a day of reckoning for ‘No’ supporting businesses, and for showing that the nationalists are economically illiterate.
The threats to nationalise businesses scares foreign investment away, kills jobs and shrinks the economy - poverty.
England is Scotland’s biggest customer. Two thirds of all Scottish trade is with the rest of the UK. Separating will put up barriers to that trade - more poverty.
We will lose our financial services industry (7% of our economy) and all future MOD contracts – yet more poverty.
All this and a day or reckoning for ‘No’ supporters. Thanks, but no thanks Jim, we are definitely better together.
Otto Inglis, Crossgates
