WITH now only a matter of days to go until the Independence Referendum polling day the hype will really start to build.

Over the past 18 months there has been a largely reasoned debate about the issue with claim and counter claim being tabled and more recently we have had the TV debates.

The fact is that this is a pivotal moment in Scotland’s history but at times the debate has become almost hysterical with campaigners from both sides losing their way and in all likelihood, turning the voters off.

With two weeks to go until polling day hopefully the campaigning will improve in quality and answers to questions will be provided to give people the information they need to make a final decision before they vote.

With such an important decision to be made hopefully people will not have been completely turned off by all the rhetoric of the past months and will embrace the Referendum and cast their vote.

It is an issue that deserves a 100 per cent turn out but whether the final voting figure gets close ot that remains to be seen.
