EVER since the publication of the White Paper on Scotland’s Future, I have been urging the SNP to provide answers to the questions everyone is asking, e.g. what is plan B for Scotland’s currency, what would be the costs of separation, etc.
The silence has been deafening, but I thought that all would be revealed during Alex Salmond’s television debate with Alistair Darling. Sadly, however, I was wrong.
Rather than giving definitive answers, the First Minister resorted to his usual bluff and bluster and all we got was more of the “I’ll be alright on the night” rhetoric – in other words, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope everything works out! With such vague responses, it is little wonder that more and more people are seeing through the SNP’s paper-thin arguments on currency and other important issues and are deciding to vote No next month!
