RE ‘The Four Winds Trust’ - I agree with Oor Willie in a previous week’s Times.

There are a few only ‘individual services’ (voluntary) within Cowdenbeath - and they get nothing - I suppose as they are not connected to any cliques.

If The Four Winds Trust expect us to believe they are truly helping Cowdenbeath, then it’s about time they showed it, by giving to the people who give all their time and all their finances in helping those in need.

Without an inquisition, deeds of the past and present should ‘count’. These caring people deserve that recognition. But I agree with Oor Willie, I think it is given to a clique/group or individual, who then decides ‘who’ to give to - guess what? I bet it is within same cliques - not deserving ones, who really need that vital financial help.

Anybody out there know who is responsible for all the funds The Four Winds Trust give? They must have a ‘say’ surely. But there again nobody seems to know who this group is. Why? They must be held accountable. Is this to keep the public quiet about actual windmills? Or just a ‘red herring’?

GRANDPA BROON, (Pal of Oor Willie).

The Four Winds Trust is made up of representatives of the community councils of Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, Lumphinnans and Auchtertool who consider applications for funding. Already a large number of causes have been backed by the Trust which distributes community funds from the Little Raith Wind Farm. Any good cause can apply for funding. The Ed.
