THE unacceptable face of Nationalism is now beginning to reveal itself.
Opponents of the Yes campaign are being targeted and abused by so-called cybernats. One example was that of an 83-year-old man and his family.
The Nationalist MSP Roseanna Cunningham, by accident or design, revealed their home address, email and telephone number on Twitter.
Other examples include the head of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Bill Munro of Barrhead Travel who had the ‘temerity’ to express their belief that Scotland should remain part of the United Kingdom.
The latest disgraceful episode is that of a Labour MP, an elected representative of his constituency, who is now receiving police protection following intimidating threats.
The actions of some Nationalist supporters towards opponents who do not share their views is all too reminiscent of Germany in the 1930s.
If this appalling behaviour is what we can expect from Nationalists in an independent Scotland it makes it all the more imperative that we vote No in the forthcoming referendum.
JAMES MARTIN, Kelty.
