It would seem that the fall-out from the Fife Council budget is going to keep going for some time yet.

The SNP/Lib Dem alliance has found themselves under heavy fire from the Labour Party for the various measures they have brought in to try and balance the books.

Alex Rowley and his team, including Mark Hood, have been making a lot of very serious allegations of the administration making stringent cuts which will affect service users.

But back come the SNP and Lib Dems with suggestions that they are not making cuts but are preserving the services as best they can under pressure from Central Government.

Then we get Lochgelly councillor Ian Chisholm entering the fray by accusing the Labour people of carping and whining on the sidelines.

The fact is that the Lochgelly Centre problem is one which could have a far reaching impact on the town.

A great many organisations rely on the Centre for their base and any sort of delay will be a bad blow for them.

Now no doubt the problem which caused the delay with the new gym at St Patrick's Primary School was nothing to do with the administration, that was simply a problem which reared its ugly head at the worst possible time so Mr Chisholm was right to defend his party's position there.

The fact is that we have not yet come to the run-up to the General Election, but we still have a lot of claim and counter claim. It can only get worse.
