After reading last week's edition of the Central Fife Times I am at long last impressed by a politician.

I refer to local councillor Mark Hood who seems to be a refreshing new breed of people who actually are in the job for the right reasons.

He not only manages to fulfil his council obligations, do his job and balance his family life but is always available to listen, such a rare trait in politics!

I was happy to read that he not only agrees to a wage freeze for councillors but actively supports a freeze for all council officers! HURRAH!

Combined with no expense claims made by Councillor Hood, have we at last found a decent human being who is working for his constituents and not boarding the age old gravy train enjoyed by so many before him?

Keep up the good work Mark, you can count on my vote any day!
