I hope that Ore Valley Housing Association are able to get people to get involved in their scheme to have areas of Lochgelly revamped.
They advertised that they were to encourage people to walk around the town with them pointing out sites that need attention.
You see there are too many people prepared to gripe away in the background but when it comes to putting their head above the parapit they are not so keen.
You see the regeneration theme to succeed totally will need everyone to play their part in ensuring that areas needing attention are given that attention.
And the fact is only local people are aware of the parts of their district that need that attention, you cannot expect people, who even although they may work in the town, to know every neuk and cranny.
Local activists such as Davie Kinnell are the sort of people who can make a difference to this fact finding exercise.
And the thing is even if people have not been able to join in the walks around the town it does not mean that their information is not needed.
No the people at Ore Valley would be delighted to receive a visit during which you can impart your advice.
If you know a site which needs attention then get round to Ore Valley's Bank Street office and let them know. They will be verfy grateful.
REGEN MAN, Lochgelly.
