ON Saturday June 30 we were subjected again to the annual 'Silly Billy' Battle of the Boyne march.

Who cares? well approximately five thousand people who descended on Cowdenbeath in fancy dress, with silly little bowler hats etc.

Is it not time these people dragged their knuckles into the 21st century?

And there is no show without Punch, yes Arlene Foster. We already have a resident Witch of the North, we do not need two.

We don't want or need this odious woman and her odious policies coming here to lecture us.

She says she is against bigotry and hatred. Then why is she speaking at a march for bigots? I hear a squadron of pigs flying overhead again.

Isn't bigotry what these people are all about?

Are there any Catholics in the Orange Order? I did not think so. She should go home and listen to her own people who recently had a referendum on abortion, of which result she is trying to suppress by holding this Tory Government ransom. Go home!

On the subject of graffiti, is Fife Council going to remove the 'sinister' posters plastered on all the bus shelters in Ballingry. Eight at my bus stop alone. Are these meant to be scary? These might scare small kids!

So we have the LGBT march, the Silly Billy march, what is next?

A march by the the British Socialist (Nazi) Party? Or a Klu Klux Klan rally?

Can't they march somewhere where people don't need buses?

But wait, they need spectators. What better than a captive audience.

In conclusion, I am neither a Catholic or a Protestant, whatever they are.

I was brought up with Christian values but I am not religious.

Religion and ethnic differences are, in my opinion, responsible for most of the conflict in the world.

Did Jesus not say, 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'.

BILL BISHOP,

Ballingry.
