I WOULD like to highlight an issue regarding volunteers for Alzhiemers Scotland.

In the past they have had a good uptake in volunteers to assist with those who need the services that this charity provides. At present Altziemers Scotland only have three volunteers in the Dunfermline area who provide their time. This shows to me that this charity is desperate for volunteers as they provide a very valuable service to those who are unfortunately vulnerable and in need of support.

I would ask if anyone who can give an hour a week of their time to someone who desperately needs support, to consider volunteering.

This condition is very well known and effects so many of our families now but some members of our society do not have family and friends who can support them, these are the ones who need support.

If you do decide to offer your services please contact Befriending Co-ordinator Fife Services 01592 803802, or go to www. Alzscot.org Your help is badly needed.
