IT is high time that something was done to ensure that the new Lochgelly Health Centre project does not fall off the radar.

The problems of the David Street Health Centre have been continuing for years now and a couple of years ago the Lochgelly Community Council campaign seemed to be working and there was a commitment from the Health authorities.

It seems a very long time since Francis Street was chosen as the best site for the new centre but all of a sudden things have gone very quiet.

As Lochgelly continues to grow in size with The Avenue ensuring that there will be another 100 plus houses going up, the need for a new health centre is surely reaching an acute stage.

This could drift on and on and meanwhile the staff at the David Street Health Centre have to keep on working hard to make do with what they have.

A town the size of Lochgelly needs to have a health facility which is big enough to deal with the work that is there.

I hope that Alex Rowley gets some answers from NHS Fife because the time has some when something has to be done to get a new Lochgelly Health Centre.

TIME FOR ACTION,

Small Street,

Lochgelly.
