IN reply to Inside Left's letter concerning the new Visitor Centre building at Lochore Meadows Country Park, my wife and I attended all three meetings in Lochore Institute.

These were conducted in a proper manner, an excellent, capable and able chairperson made sure everyone got a chance to put over their point of view.

At no point was there any 'howling' down of any support for a new building.

No one, including Willie Clarke, was opposed to a new building.

The drawing showed a black painted building which put people off.

Forest Green, as a colour, would have been more appropriate.

My wife and I are not members of any political organisation as were many people at these meetings.

If it had been explained to people as to why the original centre had to be demolished, ie, water beneath the building was ruining the foundations, then people would have had a better idea of the situation.

This was not a political campaign, it seems to me that so called 'Inside Left' is trying to score political points as well as misinforming the Times' readership.

J CHRISTIE,

Ballingry.
