I WOULD like to make a point about the condition of the drains on the road leading from Lochgelly down the brae to the Jamphlars.

From around Lochgelly Cemetery downwards, when there is ever heavy rain, the drains struggle to cope and the quantity of water that runs down the brae is pretty significant.

No I am no drains expert but it would seem to me that the said drains are needing a clean.

I think that there is a fair amount of mud runs off the fields and if that goes into the drains it can cause problems that stores up.

Hence when you get heavy falls of rain the series of drains we have on this stretch of road struggle to handle it.

It really is awkward when you see a lot of water running down the steep slope, it is something that should not be happening.

I would imagine that a morning with one of the drain cleaning trucks working up and down the hill would soon sort it out.

Perhaps the problem has not been reported to the authorities. Well it is happening.

VIGILANTE,

Lochgelly.
