I’M inviting all the Central Fife Times readers to join the Stroke Association’s Make May Purple for Stroke month and to go purple for pounds. The charity does amazing work helping stroke survivors regain their independence and needs our help.

Whether you don some purple clothing with your colleagues at work, hold a purple bake sale or even get a purple rinse, it’s all about showing your commitment to the cause whilst having some fun at the same time.

Stroke is Scotland’s third biggest killer and there will be many sufferers among the Times's readership and a leading cause of disability in the UK. We have to act now to support those living with the devastating effects of stroke.

Stroke devastates lives. I too have been affected by stroke and it’s a cause close to my heart. So I’m calling on you to ‘Go Purple for Pounds’ and take part in some purple fun-filled activities while raising vital funds for the charity’s work.

Order your magazine for lots of fundraising ideas and event information at www.stroke.org.uk/makemaypurple.
