HOPEFULLY by the time people read this the villagers of Hill of Beath will have come out in big numbers to support the project to make the community centre a Community Asset Transfer .

This is a very important issue for the village as it starts to get much bigger.

The new Baxterfield housing area is certainly going to increase the population and it would seem the ideal time for people to take a grip of this.

It would seem that the SFA have suggested that there is a lot of funding out there to be tapped into for community run organisations but it needs people to put their shoulder to the wheel to make things happen.

The Community Centre does need some improvements to it but these no doubt are the sort of things that can be done under the CAT deal.

The school certainly is short of facilities and the sort of football facility planned would make a difference as if it was to be like the one in Cardenden, it could be used for other activities too.

So really the opportunity is there and surely the people of the village cannot let this chance slip through their fingers.

Cowdenbeath.
