HAS the problem of the groups of youngsters that are gathering at the Cowdenbeath Public Park every single weekend been brought to your attention?

I stay right next to the park and am appalled by what’s happening and nobody seems to care.

I wrote emails to the councillors and not one responded, a few weeks ago they had every neighbour out. They were drinking, fighting and standing in people’s gardens and on their walls giving abuse to anyone who dared say anything to them.

I have seen a white Fiesta that turns up every week which wakes my sleeping child by parking in front of my house all doors opened with his music full blast.

Then he leaves the car and walks down to talk to people he knows, we’ve had to phone the police numerous times but they just get moved into the park where the shelter is!

They’re not even the age to drink but are anyway thanks to a shop selling them booze!

All the elderly neighbours were terrified and every week the crowd has got bigger. It’s now went from 20 to over 100 kids and riot vans are here all the time.

Surely it’s time to do something about it when it’s affecting the whole community in that area!

Moving them down a bit just causes a steady stream of drunk kids screaming at night as they walk up and down past the houses annoying everyone until they decide to go home.

CONCERNED RESIDENT,

Cowdenbeath.
